Description
Northern Plains Saddle
2″h x 2.5″w x 2.5″d Limited Edition 50
1870’s Northern Plains style saddle has a half seat with a Sam Staggs or “naked rigging” and a Cheyenne roll on the cantle. The slick fork provided little support on a bucking horse. The Cheyenne roll helped a rider to mount quickly on a “nervous” horse. This saddle has no side jockeys which became popular a few years later.
